Family members will learn how to allocate resources, manage the family business budget, manage free cash flow vs business requirements, assess the family business portfolio, and compare the needs of the business and the family. To guide the growth of the family business, it will deal with cash flow, time value of money, risk assessment, and investment screening.
3 - Human Resource Management: An Overview, Ms. Marijo Caronongan

Many small and medium-sized companies cannot fully justify hiring a full-time Human Resource (HR) manager. The HR requirements of the company are usually handled by the owners themselves or assigned to a manager handling other support functions in the organization, such as, Finance and Administration. It is, however, critical that HR matters are addressed professionally and pro-actively if the owners want to attract, develop and retain employees.
This half-day program aims to give the participants an understanding and appreciation of the Human Resource Management (HRM), the different functions of HRM, and basic HR tools that Management can use to effectively manage the most important asset of the company – its employees.

This course will expose family members on the importance of family relationships preserved with the understanding that the family business is composed of three systems that make up family governance. Family, Business, and Ownership systems have different orientations that family members must understand influencing their behavior and attitude. Family Constitution puts in place values, rules, policies and structures in place for guidance of the business family in how they interact with one another as family, business and owners.

We all own something. House, car, jewelry, phone, clothes, bags, books, and more. Even debt, rights, and benefits. What happens to these possessions when we die? When our loved ones die, are we entitled to any of their possessions?
What about last wills and testaments, do we really need to prepare it? Can we give our properties to anyone we want? Can we refuse to receive properties given to us by inheritance? Can we be disinherited?
Navigating legal succession can be intimidating. This course aims to give participants an understanding of the basic laws on succession to be better equipped at estate planning.

The course provides an overview of information and communications technology (ICT) and business driven infrastructure design. Relevant topics include make or buy decisions, requirements analysis, and current trends in artificial intelligence. The end goal of this course is to empower family businesses to make informed decisions, optimize operations and position themselves for long-term success in a rapidly evolving digital world.
