FINANCIAL WELLNESS PROGRAM: CHALLENGES & OPPORTUNITIES IN NAVIGATING THE VUCA WORLD
by Ms. Alice Ann Parlan
Workshop Description
Today's economic environment has been marked by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA). Markets have rebounded from their crash in 2020 and reached new highs only to decline again due to high inflation rates and rising interest rates. The state of the global economy remains fragile with geo-political tensions, energy-related and food security problems. Taxes are likely to go up in the coming years in response to rising deficits.
How should you manage your personal finances through these turbulences? Where can you invest to meet your short-term / medium-term / long-term goals? When can you get out of a debt trap? What strategy can you deploy to mitigate the risks faced and to get your finances under control? Through the Financial Wellness Program, you’ll learn a comprehensive approach to financial well-being, one that helps build lasting financial strength and stability, together with essential financial planning tools that are needed to navigate these uncertain times.
As young members of family businesses, you work hard to grow your wealth and enjoy financial security. Financial wellness starts with an understanding of the critical know- hows, which integrates the disciplines of investment management, asset preservation, risk management, and debt management. Since each family member’s financial situation is unique, then no one solution will suffice for all.
